Posted - Apr 12 2007 : 2:36:24 PM Jen, I know you are in that area. We will be there from May 12-15. Could you (and anyone else) recommend trails to take, things to see, do in the area. We want to canoe the river one day, my parents want to take the kids to the Roy Rogers Museum in Branson. Other than that, things are pretty open.
Suggestions?

Posted - May 09 2007 : 07:55:57 AM Eren - if you happen to drop in here before your trip, BE WARNED! Silver Dollar City was sooooo packed at 10:30am that there was a traffic jam 3 MILES down the highway. Your only hope of getting in would be to get there well before they open on a weekday. Needless to say, we didn't go. We rode go-carts and bumper boats, played mini golf, and I don't care if I go to Branson again for a LONG time. The silly little tourist town I remember from childhood got swallowed up by some huge, gluttonous, consumer-crazed, neon-lit monster. Yikes! We did drive through beautiful Buffalo River country on the way home, though, and plan on spending much time there. Good luck, have fun, and share the details when you get back! Jen

Posted - Apr 13 2007 : 11:07:35 AM Okay, I know this might seem kinda kitchy, but Silver Dollar City in Branson is really fun! The folk arts & crafts stuff is neat (like glass blowing & blacksmithing), and there are rides. We're going to try & take the kids up there next weekend. http://www.silverdollarcity.com/
