The boys and I had our first picnic of the year last night out near our local lake, which also happened to be at the re-regulation dam. It was awesome sitting there at sunset, listening to all of the birds and just the quiet of the woods. Until....the siren went off as the dam gates opened. I've never seen my boys eyes get so big. lol It wasn't long until we heard the rushing water. I think my 3 yr old thought we would get washed away. I'm so looking forward to hiking, camping and more picnics this summer!
