Washington Gains 96 Square Miles of Great Public Elk Country

Thanks to a landmark exchange spearheaded by the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Washington now has more than 61,000 acres—an area larger than Seattle—of new public land on the east slope of the Cascades for wildlife and people to roam.
