Anybody else subscribe to Mother Earth News magazine? I just started subscribing (thanks to my mom) & am very impressed. I've dog-eared all sorts of pages in the last 2 issues!

Here's the website: www.motherearthnews.com

I subscribe, love it. Check out the recipe for crusty no knead bread made in a cast iron casserole. It's wonderful. JoAnn

Made it a few weeks ago, JoAnn, with some sort of good soup. Both loaves were gone by the next morning!

I have some friends that have subscribed since the 70's. Last time we were out at their house, the husband was trying to get our little one down for a nap so he read her the whole publication! LOL Gotta start teaching them the right way early!

Here's a link to the crusty bread recipe (found it on the farm forum - thanks, JoAnn!):

I usually "borrow" my Mom's Mother Earth News. (giggle) I've been enjoying Hobby Farm Home - when I can find it. It's hard to find these magazines in the city. When I get some extra cash I'm going to subscribe.

I noticed that Deb - when dh was working in San Francisco and again in San Diego, we couldn't find any of our favorite magazines - even at big stores like Barnes and Noble.

Ooo! What a great list of things I need to subscribe to! I am really starting to get spring fever and I want to start planning things! My problem is I always want to treat rental property like it is my own personal property- ie improve it. But I can't keep sinking money into places we don't own. So I think I will have to content myself with digging an building some fabulous gardens.
