Wooo Hooo! I now live within a reasonable driving distance of Red Lodge Montana!!! While I cross country skied my whole life, I learned how to down hill ski at Red Lodge! I am SO excited! I don't care that I am a bit out of shape and that Red Lodge is a bit away. I am GOING to make sure that we get up there for at least one day, even if I have to pay someone to take care of Baby for the day. I would like for her to be at least another year before we take her up there.

Sounds SO fun, Elizaray!! I've always wanted to cross country ski. We're supposed to have a snowy winter down here in Arkansas...maybe I can buy an old pair off somebody up north & give it a try!

Jen, Cross Country is amazing. Lots of fun, lots of exercise! And you have to be creative in getting up hills and such. It's so worth the energy though! Especially if you get into the back country and see wild life. I love the quiet shush-shush-shush-shush of the skis in the snow!

I tried skiing for the first time last night! Took my Girl Scout troop out to a local place. (Bunny hills) It was a great time!

Best part? I'm not sore at all today!

Did you do Cross Country or Down Hill? I love Skiing and am dying that I haven't gotten a chance to go yet. Maybe for Valentines day

Down hill. I just saw that a forest preserve near us rents cross country ski's for a reasonable price and throws in a lesson. I may take my girls there next. I love cross country skiing. I've done that before.

We've gotten so much snow here I want to take advantage of it. Although it is 3 degrees out today. We're not doing much outside now.
